This morning...

Today was effectively the first cold rainy day since I've been here. The above picture is the end of the line for the Vatican Museums on the via di porta angelica, and I took it right before 10am. If you know Rome, the gate on the right is the Porta Santa Anna, the gate on the left leads directly to the Bernini Colonnade. As a result, the line was incredibly long.
If you have a look at the above map, this photo was taken halfway down via di porta angelica, and the actual entrance to the Vatican Museums is right below the word "Vaticano" at the top of the map. This means that the line was nearly a half mile long.

Additionally, look at this cute couple -- they've got matching rainbonnets!
